awrc While I've liked all the various stages in Bill's career, his 80s output has always been my favorite, and this collection is just chock-full of great stuff from this period, with a lot of tracks previously unreleased on CD or that were only on CDs that are difficult to find, like _The Two-Fold Aspect Of Everything_, or the brief availability of his back catalog on Enigma in the very late 80s.

Ryan Wilson Been listening to you since I found Quit Dreaming and get on the Beam in the Notting-hill record and tape exchange. I think I liked the album cover + title. I think I payed 50p. It’s been an honour following Mr Nelson’s music. Keep going my friend.

karl lovblad I did subscribe for a while to the „acquitted by mirrors“ Magazine/fanzine. It was great and some of Those Singles were just fabulous. I still have thé Singles somewhere. Thé magazines no more. I Kind of regret that but I could just Not keep everything. I used to love reading them.

about

‘Acquitted By Mirrors’ was a Bill Nelson Fan Club magazine published between 1982 and 1990. By its 13th issue in 1986, seven EPs – all of which were recorded on either 4-track or 8-track analogue recording equipment at The Echo Observatory (Bill’s home studio) – were issued exclusively to fan club members in conjunction with alternating issues of the magazine. While some of the tracks can now be found on various CD releases, many others are making their long-awaited CD debut with this release.
As well as having all the fan club EPs together on CD for the first time, ‘Transcorder’ also includes hard-to-find B-sides and rare tracks. The album ultimately closes with five previously unreleased instrumentals that were recorded at The Echo Observatory during the mid-1980s.
